"For the past two years, war has raged in the north. Following the assassination of the King of the Rhostmarch, his Kingdom has split in two as rebels from the eastern province of Pyrakre fight against the capitol in the western city of Rhegius. Meanwhile, shipments of weapons and other goods from the mountainous continent of Sariharkha in the south and troops from the vast deserts of the Golden Wastes in the east fuel the conflict.
In the center of this chaos sits Addercliffe, a former Pyrakrean naval outpost in the midst of a cultural revolution. Just off the coast of one of the world's largest unexplored jungles, the village of Addercliffe is a key stopover for trading ships bound for the Rhostmarch, and the nearby mainland has begun to reveal rich resources that may soon bring the conflict closer to home. As refugees from the north pour down into Addercliffe looking for a safe haven, the village is at a crossroads. Will the people of Addercliffe make the most of this opportunity and develop their new home into a true power in the region, or will they become yet another casualty in the conflict?

DnD enthusiasts take note: DragonCoast: Intrigues of Addercliffe has no connection to the 'Dragon Coast' of Faerun or Forgotten Realms.
DragonCoast: Intrigues of Addercliffe is an original Neverwinter Nights 2 persistent world, run by a group of dedicated volunteers and oriented toward providing a high quality roleplaying environment. DragonCoast has been around for a number of years, and has welcomed in six separate eras, each set at a different point in history. Previously, DragonCoast has existed through Bioware's Neverwinter Nights, but Shores of Haldun saw the first move to Obsidian's Neverwinter Nights 2, and more recently Depths of Norhaven continued our presence in the community.
Since the events of Depths of Norhaven, the world has been in a state of flux, and the fundamental rules of both divinity and magic have been rewritten in the process. As a consequence, this world differs greatly from those that came before. Intrigues of Addercliffe has been built by a small and dedicated team of talented builders, scripters and writers; improving upon the lessons learned during the course of Depths of Norhaven. As ever, we've aimed to create much more than just another Neverwinter Nights 2 server; and this era we will be focusing on a more dynamic setting where real changes occur based on the actions of the playerbase.
To play DragonCoast: Intrigues of Addercliffe, you will need Obsidian's Neverwinter Nights 2 and both current expansions: Mask of the Betrayer (MotB) and Storm of Zehir (SoZ).
