I can see a kobold riding a metalic spider, but not any other animal. I imagen them thinking the animals are a waste of time and rather want to use machines.

It could be that, being reptiles, Kobolds instinctually look down on mammals and thus have no qualms about using animals as slaves.

A little more back on topic though... I could easily see Kobolds taming animals to ride. They are smart enough to do so, and if Goblins can do it, why not Kobolds? And for that matter, Horses are bigger, faster, and stronger than humans, but we have tamed them and ride them around. We've also tamed predators which could tear our throats out, turning them into common household pets.

It's not only possible, but I could easily see a Kobold being cunning enough to figure out that taming a big violent animal to bite things for him is better than relying on just his twig-like lizard arms for stabbing things. ;)

Sure they could tame animals to ride, technically any halfling, gnome or dwarven ranger or druid could ride their companion around now as it is, especially if it's a bear.  Any of the larger summons a wizard can call can be ridden as well.  Remember the Celestial Dire Bear?  Thing was bigger than a truck.  :D   Only thing that matters is if you can pull it off IC, I suppose!

I just had a "bad" dream about DoN, everyone was already playing and I was still hanging out at the char creation screen and could not decide what race to play. Some people would describe this as nightmare.
And yes it was pretty traumatic, seeing you guys having fun and me stuck, sweating tears, not able to decide.

Stop teasing me already and bring it on, you are playing with the psychic health of your player base.  :D

I was getting concerned as we'd gone nearly 2 full weeks without a new teaser. Then the Hunters got posted. I'd hoped, personally, that DoN would have gone live during the summer when I had more free time, but seeing as how I've just moved and will be without internet for a bit (I'm not at home as I type this), I suppose this works out pretty well for me too. By the time everything's set up again on my end, I'll probably be still patiently awaiting the start of the server.

Oh yeah, and more classes start this Thursday for me. Woo.

If soon is somewhere on the outside of the next 3-4 months, you're probably correct.   :)

I like to think that we work on a release system similar to Blizzard. It's hard to say when the product is actually going to come out exactly, but when it's ready.

I also like to think that we're approaching that goal at a good pace.

Don't worry, you can all use this time to write up really detailed backstories.

Not until you stop releasing all of these juicy teasers with new races, classes and factions! How am I supposed to commit? I already have two half-started stories and one full post ready to go for characters I'm not convinced are "the one." Let me know when the faction/race/class teasers are done and then I'll try writing again. For now I'll just be content drooling.
