* Glyph of Fear: Enemies in the area are afflicted with fear as the Fear spell.
* Glyph of Chaos: Creates a zone of chaos full of swirling arcane energy. All creatures inside the zone have -20 Concentration and take 3d6 damage per round they remain inside
* Glyph of Pandemonium: Creates a conflagration, dealing irresistable fire damage each round to all creatures inside.
Glyphs require no extra skill to use. They can be interrupted by a failed concentration check if you take damage while scribing. They can be used in full armor without penalty and/or while silenced.
My question here is whether it is possible that some would consider Hunters themselves magic users, as they are using glyphs to invoke spell-like effects. Is there any prevailing attitude on the subject?
I think that was already pretty much answered either here or on the Convocation thread....to a 'commoner' who knows nothing of things magical/arcane a Hunter using a glyph would seem to be using 'magic'. If the same commoner then saw someone using Truespeaking then yes, they'd notice there was a diff, but both are 'magic'.The thing that might confuse a 'commoner' is that they might know of Hunters from reputation and fear them, but not know they use 'magic', so would not think a guy using a glyph was a Hunter?!
I just got myself curious... are hunters purely human or do they have any race (except those they think are dragon bloods?) in their ranks? I mean... could the following races be hunters, and if so, how common would they be?Human (I think are obviously the most common?):Elf:Half Elf:Dwarf:Maybe less common but could these be hunters also?Half Orc/Orc:Kobald:Czard:Other?:
